We organize senior citizen friendly treks in Nepal. Normally most of the senior citizens limit their trekking plans more than necessary because of their age. They think that trekking in Nepal is not possible when you are at +60 but it is not like that. Nepal offers different trekking options for trekking from all age groups. It is true that our body is not the same as we get older but that does not mean you must give up all your dreams of trekking in Nepal. There are many treks suitable for senior travelers that do not require much physical exertion and stays below 4000m. They are low altitude treks but you can still enjoy the breath taking mountain views, amazing landscapes, beautiful small villages, local people and their daily life style.
Senior citizen with no trekking experience, short treks that stay below 4000m are highly recommended but if you are experience trekker, you can go for most of the regular treks in Nepal if you travel with 2-3 extra days. But again low altitude treks are strongly suggested because most of the treks above 4000m are with too many steep which can be hard on the knees and not good if you have joint problem. Some of the suggested treks for seniors are listed below.
